Job Description

Required to work for Barkwell Plumbing and Heating Ltd. One of the largest plumbing companies in the South West, who specialise on large-scale projects for major house builders, property developers, housing associations and local authorities on developments that typically involve the construction of new houses.


What will the apprentice be doing?

Working in mainly domestic properties where the successful applicant will work within a small team to provide Painting and Decorating services to provide high profile and durable finishes in keeping with each client's individual specification and requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Learning all aspects of painting and decorating whilst working on domestic and commercial projects
  • Be totally committed to achieving a high level of customer satisfaction through the quality of the end result
  • Increasing your Skills and knowledge of different materials, tools and techniques throughout duration of the apprenticeship and ensuring their use in a safe and professional manner as part of a safe working environment to ensure you are not a risk to yourself, colleagues or members of the public
  • Assisting colleagues to ensure timely and quality outcomes
  • Ensuring at all times that the project is carried out and maintained with the utmost care, tidiness and housekeeping and ultimate respect for the client’s property and project vision
  • Tools and equipment are vital to successful outcomes and as such should be respected, maintained, cleaned and stored as requested
