Level 2 Horticulture Apprenticeship (Notcutts Ltd, Cranleigh).
Responsibilities
The role of a Horticultural Apprentice will include following job roles:
- Pricing standards - stock always priced when displayed in Garden Centre
- Maintain Garden Centre displays - Point of Sale & Merchandising standards
- Ability to cross sell/up sell - introducing alternative products and Privilege Cards
- Operate a till and handle cash
- Plant care and housekeeping standards
- Edging and shrub bed maintenance
- Weeding/Sweeping
- Litter Picking/Leaf collection
- Chemical Application
- Safely use grounds maintenance equipment including hand tools, strimmers, hedge-cutters, and any other machinery required
- Carry out maintenance to grounds maintenance equipment
- Compliance with all relevant legislation
- Horticultural operations such as planting, pruning and maintenance of trees and shrubs
- Work within the plant area - and complete plant watering duties
- Warehouse duties involving manual handling
- Product knowledge/Product location/Handle telephone enquiries
- Efficient stock management - ensuring stock levels are correct
- Flexible to work across all departments within the Garden Centre - transferable skills
Additional Duties
- Undertake appropriate training & coaching relevant to role, demonstrating brand values of Passion, Inspiration and Expertise
- Adheres to all Company policies and procedures as outlined in the Colleague Handbook
- To carry out duties which are required within the role as it evolves within the development of the Company
- Providing support to other Garden Centres as required for needs of the business
- Any other such reasonable duties as directed by Line Management as appropriate to the level of appointment

Qualifications Required
- GCSE maths and English grades 9-4/A - C or equivalent
Training Provided
- Horticulture level 2 including Functional Skills if required.
