Level 2 Horse Care Apprenticeship

We are looking for a reliable, hard-working, positive individual to join our existing, fun team. The role involves all aspects of yard duties, including:
- Mucking out
- Providing basic horse care and cleaning and maintenance of tack
- Turning out horses
- Using the horse walker
- Preparing horses for exercise
- Preparing for competitions
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of horses when away at competitions
We require you to have experience of handling and managing horses in a yard setting and have the ability to ride at a standard ready to start eventing, in order to get the most out of your experience with us.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to develop their riding with lessons from Olympic event rider Lucinda Fredericks.
This is a live-in position, ideally for 1 year.
Future ProspectsPossibility of Level 3 Senior Groom Apprenticeship on completion of Level 2
Skills RequiredSome equine experience would be beneficial
Qualities RequiredFun, hard-working and enthusiastic
Qualifications RequiredMust be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
