We are a social team and our yard is a busy one. We coach children, teenagers and adults. We work closely with a variety of corporate clients and host Polo days. This role may suit a more outgoing personality. Some weekend work may be required through peak summer months.


Duties include:

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Tack cleaning
  • Tacking up
  • Feeding
  • Filling hay nets
  • Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
  • Bathing
  • Rug changing
  • Schooling
  • Riding
  • First aid
  • Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist
  • Opportunity to ride
  • Opportunity to coach

Future Prospects

Possibility of Senior Groom Apprenticeship on completion of Level 2.

Skills Required

Some equine experience would be beneficial.

Qualities Required

This role would suit someone with an outgoing personality.

Qualifications Required

Must be working at Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills, or C (4) or above in GCSE maths and English or equivalent.
