Job Description

This role will give the successful candidate a good working knowledge of the end to end supply chain of an award winning street lighting and furnishing company.


Duties to include:

Shipping and dispatch:

  • Daily collation of all customer orders due for dispatch
  • Allocation of parts on our MRP system - Redthorn
  • Creating dispatch notes and generating invoices
  • Entry of consignment information on to the relevant transportation portal
  • Labelling and final check of goods leaving site

MRP administration:

  • Updating our system with stock adjustments
  • Performing material allocations to manufacturing jobs
  • User additions/removals
  • General enquiries


  • Basic procurement of materials required by the company
  • Updating the Material Procurement Report and purchasing any required materials from this list
  • Processing any R&D material requirements
  • Updating of P/O’s on Redthorn with delivery dates and times as they are confirmed by the supplier


  • Supporting the sales team taking customer orders
  • Loading orders on to Redthorn
  • Dealing with general enquiries

General office-based administration tasks

Future Prospects

Possibility of Level 3 on completion of Level 2

Hard-working and keen to learn

Qualifications Required

Must be able to work towards Level 1 Functional Skills maths and English, or already have C/4 in GCSEs or equivalent
