We are looking for enthusiastic people with a passion for sport and physical activity. Successful candidates will possess the competencies to inspire and motivate a range of children and young people.

Responsibilities

Successful candidates duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Assist with the planning and delivery of physical activity sessions
  • Develop and inspire young people to live and lead active lifestyles
  • Assist in the production of accurate assessments and reports on children and young people’s progress
  • Have existing knowledge of the school PE National Curriculum (Desirable)

Candidates will deliver sport and physical activities to children and young people, both in school curriculum time following the PE National Curriculum and/or set programs of study and also deliver a range of OSHL, (Out Of School Hours Learning) extracurricular activities before school, at lunch times, after school and in school holiday periods 5 days a week including some evenings and weekends.

Reality Check

  • Travelling between different school locations will be required as part of this role
  • The ideal candidate would either have access to own transport or be willing to use public transport to access various schools
  • Part of the working week will also be spent at the office base which is at CSL, Green Centre, Wat Tyler Country Park, SS16 4UH

Skills Required

  • Basic computer skills
  • Reliable with strong time management
  • Self-motivated and have a passion for teaching/coaching
  • Confident communicator
  • Previous experience of physical activity delivery would be highly beneficial
  • Demonstrate and articulate that they have a clear passion and drive to inspire young people through sport and physical activity
  • Meet outcomes and results with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on expectations for high quality standards
  • Critically assess own performance in a responsible and credible manner
  • Deal with a range of different situations
  • Be reliable, tolerant and determined
  • Be an empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view

Qualifications Required

  • Any relevant sport qualifications (Desirable)

Training Provided

Community Activator Coach standard.

  • Level 2 Certificate in Coaching
  • Level 2 Award in Multi Skills
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Functional Skills maths & English if required
