You will be working closely with our other Commis Chefs and supporting the Chef De Parties to ensure the high standards of preparation and that the section you’re working on is ready for lunch or dinner service.
You’ll be using ingredients of the highest quality to produce and serve classical style European cuisine for up to 300 covers per service.
Over the 15-month apprenticeship you’ll learn a variety of new culinary skills, whilst spending time working through the different sections of the kitchen – Larder, Sauce, Grill, Fish, Garnish, and Pastry
You will be working towards a nationally recognised Level 2 Apprentice qualification.
The role offers a good opportunity to develop and progress towards a Demi Chef De Partie position within any of our other restaurants or at Café Wolseley. Corbin & King is determined to provide you with the right opportunities to advance your profession with us and beyond. We also have plans to open more restaurants in the UK and overseas.
Previous experience within a kitchen environment would be beneficial but is not essential.
Good punctuality, attendance and levels communication skills will be expected in this role
We are looking for passionate candidates that are willing to work hard and who are eager to learn new skills.
A keen passion for the industry and motivation to become a successful chef is vital.
No qualifications required but GCSEs or Functional Skills qualifications in English and maths are beneficial. If you do not already hold these, we shall help you achieve Functional Skills certificates in both these subjects during your apprenticeship programme.
