Responsibilities
What will the apprentice be doing?
Within this exciting role your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
- Learning and applying carpentry skills on-site
- Working alongside other trades to gain an understanding of all aspects of building and to develop healthy working relationships
- Learning to work as a team and developing your communication on-site
- Understanding on-site health and safety and applying your carpentry skills in respect to the regulations you learn
- Understanding the correct attitude and behaviour in the workplace
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Within this role you will complete the Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery Apprenticeship
- The training will take place at North Hertfordshire College
- The training will take place once a week or once a fortnight
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
We are very keen to give our apprentices the foundations they need as they develop into their full-time careers. By allowing our apprentices to work alongside our well-established team, we are confident they can learn more practically and effectively when faced with everyday situations in the workplace. Following a successful apprenticeship, we always hope to be in a position where we can employ our apprentices full-time.
