Responsibilities
Judy is a FBHS, specialises in dressage and has ridden at very senior team level and teaches and judges all round the world. This is a super opportunity for an aspiring rider, in fact Charlotte Dujardin the world’s number one dressage rider who you would have seen winning the Gold medal at the London Olympics started her career with Judy!
Duties may include:
- Mucking out
- Turning out/bringing in
- Tack cleaning
- Tacking up
- Feeding
- Filling hay nets
- Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
- Bathing
- Rug changing
- Schooling
- Riding
- First aid
- Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
- All aspects of caring for top dressage competition horses
Future Prospects
- Opportunity to progress onto Senior Groom Level 3 or a full-time position on completion of apprenticeship
