Responsibilities

Candidate’s daily duties will involve: 

  • This job is a combination of administration, parts-management and sales all within the same role
  • Consult, advise and sell vehicle parts, components and accessories to your customers
  • Take orders and source the parts required by your colleagues
  • Identify parts using an Electronic Parts Catalogue (EPC)
  • Control and organise the storage of large amounts of stock
  • Using our DMS (Pinnacle) to receive & issue parts to customers, IMT’s, workshop and bodyshop
  • Ordering fresh stock, when required from Volvo and other suppliers

Future Prospects

Potential to secure a full-time position at the end of the apprenticeship.

Qualifications Required

You will need 3 GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent qualifications) especially maths, English and ICT.

Training Provided

Over the 24 – 30 month programme you will initially work towards the Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard before progressing to a Level 3 Apprenticeship Customer Service Specialist Standard and receive the following;

  • At work training supported with coaching, mentoring and assessment
  • Instructor led training at Volvo’s Training & Development Centre at Daventry
  • Online learning modules (+ other elective sessions if you wish)
  • Webinar based modules
  • Assignments and workbooks - completed by self-study/in dealer study
  • On the job competence assessment with assigned mentors
  • Apprentice Showcase and End point assessment at Volvo to achieve the apprenticeship standards
