Legal Administration Apprentice
Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Administration of files
- To support the team with administrative tasks and action work as delegated by supervisor
- Client relationship management at the start and end of a transaction
- Provide telephone support and deal with client queries
- Opening new instructions accurately and within service standards
- Ensure work issues or problems are reported immediately
- File closing
- Post-completion processes - Stamp Duty Land Tax, Land Registry, reporting to clients and mortgagees, Conveyancing Scheme protocol compliance
- Collating evidence of title and reporting on title to land
- Collating searches and reporting on search results
- Providing cover for reception as and when required
- Any other tasks required to support the team or requested by management
- To ensure that outstanding client care is given at all times and to maintain a highly professional approach
- To manage all documents methodically and efficiently and in accordance with the Firm’s procedures and the LEXCEL quality mark requirements
- To undertake such other duties as commensurate with the role
- Reception duties – greeting clients, answering and directing calls, taking accurate messages, opening and distributing post, compiling outgoing post, preparing meeting rooms, taking client payments

Skills Required
- Must have good organisational skills
- Must have attention to detail
- Good numerical, IT and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Professional telephone manner
- Take responsibility for managing a busy role
- Ability to work under pressure
- Previous work experience involving dealing with people is useful but not essential
- Able to use initiative

Qualifications Required
- Minimum 3 A Levels grades A-C (or equivalents)
- 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent)
Training Provided
- Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard
- Functional skills in maths, English and ICT, if required
