Responsibilities
A manufacturing operative is responsible for the assembly, testing, and packing of the Company’s products. Working to strict safety and quality requirements, they should help to achieve daily production requirements in terms of quality and quantity to meet customer expectations and requirements, optimising efficiency and maintaining operational excellence.
Duties will include:
- Ensure the accurate and efficient assembly, testing, and packing of the company’s products, as per instruction sheets, videos and/or verbal instruction
- To be aware of the time schedules allocated for each assembly job and ensure their timely completion
- To be aware of the stock levels required for the successful, on-time completion of each job and where appropriate, report any actual or potential shortages to team leaders and/or managers
- To continually check components for accuracy and quality and if necessary, raise any quality issues with team leaders and/or managers
- Assist with caring for and maintaining the company’s tools and equipment
- To help maintain a clean, safe, and tidy working environment
- Maintain good communications and relationships throughout the company
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and make suggestions for improvement
- Participate in the overall continuous improvement of the company

- There is the potential to gain permanent employment upon completion of the apprenticeship

Qualifications Required
- Grade 3/D in maths and English or equivalent qualifications
Training Provided
- The successful apprentice will be working towards a Lean manufacturing operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
- The Training will be delivered by WS Training
