Responsibilities
What will the apprentice be doing?
- You will be given the opportunity to rotate across 4 different research groups including catalyst testing, catalyst preparation and characterisation.
- You will perform basic experimental tasks and record findings.
- Proactively look to develop an understanding of foundational experimental techniques.
- Competently apply methods (with close guidance) on routine tasks.
- Apply techniques learnt on the job in an organised and methodical manner.
- Accurately record information.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- BSc (Hons) Chemistry with Industry at the University of Nottingham.
- You will spend 80% of your time gaining real hands-on experience in the business and 20% dedicated to your studies on block release at the University of Nottingham.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- You have the opportunity to apply for roles open within the business upon completion of the programme to develop your career further within Johnson Matthey.
