Job Description

Role involves prep of stock & apparatus for class use & technical help/support to the teachers & students.

Responsibilities

The role involves

  • the preparation and maintenance of stock and apparatus for class use
  • provision of technical help and support to the teaching staff and students
  • You will also be responsible for the replenishment of materials, equipment, apparatus, software and chemicals.

Essential:

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the health and safety requirements relating to the preparation and maintenance of apparatus and stock solutions for class use

  • Previous experience running experiments

Qualifications Required

GCSE Science, English and Maths grade 5 or above 

Training Provided

Full on the job training to be provided and one day a week college attendance for underpinning knowledge. Candidate will work towards a full [3] apprenticeship in Science Manufacturing Technician functional skills. A Health and Safety qualification, Behaviour and Vocational Competence logs

A Knowledge qualification i.e. BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Applied Science, Level 3 Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering, Level 3 Certificate in Laboratory Technical Skills
