Responsibilities

Job Description/ Responsibility:

  • The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for the following tasks, but in general the main responsibilities of the kitchen staff are to wash dishes, clean and to assist the chef with general food preparation and pack the orders
  • Very familiar with the menu and know what dishes should look like
  • Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times
  • Rotate dishes to reduce wear and tear on resources
  • Restock the ingredients, packaging boxes and dish storage
  • Clean Operating area
  • Clean the kitchen area and storage area
  • Wash dishes and other implements
  • Flatten cardboard boxes & put beside bin
  • Empty and clean all bins (Inside & Outside)
  • Keep bin area tidy
  • Turn off the electricity
  • Follow sanitation policies at all times
  • Follow company policies and procedures and report any sanitation or cleaning issues to manager

  • Possibility of full time employment subject to successful completion of Apprenticeship

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE or numbered equivalent A-D grades including English and maths
