Job Description

A brand-new eatery opened in the heart of a busy popular village, our philosophy is to only work with fresh and local ingredients. We are looking for someone who wants to join a young team and learn to put your signature on the dishes. We are open for breakfasts, lunch, and early dinner.

Responsibilities

Job Role:

  • Helping the chef to cook and prepare the food to a high standard
  • Helping to prepare vegetables, meats, and fish
  • Learning: To control restock, stock rotation, waste
  • Assisting with cleaning and date labeling etc.
  • Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards
  • Learning to run a small kitchen
  • Ability to work under close supervision
  • Learn to produce good quality food in all sections
  • Good verbal communication
  • Happy to tackle all tasks

Initially Hours 8am - 5pm, evening shifts for supper dinners. 2/3 per week maximum. Sundays close at 2pm.

Future Prospects

To cover head chef days off, creating their own individual dishes for the supper evenings. We are looking to expand the company over the next few years, to run their own kitchen.

Skills Required

  • Must be eager to learn
  • Some cooking experience may be helpful but not essential

None, but common sense and being a hard reliable worker is essiential.
