We are looking for a creative Junior Graphic Designer to join our Design team. The responsibilities of a Junior Graphic Designer include creating designs according to specifications, reporting to the Creative Director, and improving design tasks.

We are looking for a creative Junior Graphic Designer to join our Design team.

The responsibilities of a Junior Graphic Designer include creating designs according to specifications, reporting to the Creative Director, and improving design tasks.

Duties of the Junior Graphic Designer include:

  • Understanding project requirements and ideas
  • Using graphic techniques to create drafts
  • Developing product Packaging following the brand guidelines
  • Producing logos, banners, and interfaces
  • Pitching creative concepts
  • Collaborating with the team to launch projects
  • Using feedback from other designers to improve

Skills/Attributes Required:

  • Graphic Design qualification or similar
  • Basic experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop).
  • Knowledge of design techniques
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • A talent for creativity and problem-solving
  • Team player
  • Strong work ethic

This demanding role requires initiative, enthusiasm and a flexible approach.

TRAINING TO BE PROVIDED:

  • Graphic Design - Web Design - Packaging Design

APPRENTICESHIP:

  • This is an apprenticeship role lasting approximately 18-months. Our hope is that on completion of the apprenticeship, the successful candidates will be offered a permanent role within the business

Qualifications Required

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and maths at grade 4 (equivalent to a C) or above is desired.

Training Provided

Junior Content Producer Level 3 Standard. 

  • The programme will be delivered over an 12-month time frame and includes monthly workshops supported with on-going 1:2:1 interaction with the learner
  • After the training phase learners will pass through to a 3 months’ end-point assessment (EPA) phase
  • This will be spent in preparation for their independent EPA against the official Standard of the skills, knowledge and behaviours deemed necessary by the industry, in order to competently perform the role
  • If the Apprentice does not have Level 2 English and/or maths (or equivalent), there will be a small number of additional classes and access to online resources to prepare for Functional Skills assessments
