Job Description

Shooting Reels: An end to end video production company, producing high quality, corporate and commercial videos for the largest companies in the UK. We are creatively driven and work with our clients closely to realise their vision. We are looking for a bright, creative individual who will be able to join our team as video production apprentice.

Responsibilities

Your primary role will be to assist the video and edit team in producing video, image and animated content for our clients. No two days are the same, and you could be out shooting a new video or with the edit team putting together the final product.

Your daily responsibilities:

  • Work with clients to help develop ideas for videos, animation, and image-based creative projects
  • Attend creative meetings and put forward ideas
  • Speak on the phone with clients, suppliers, and freelancers to help with the logistics of a project
  • Develop the right paperwork and schedules for shoots
  • Assist on shoots and make sure of the smooth running of the project
  • Operate the camera and sound equipment on the shoot
  • Behave and communicate professionally with clients and crew
  • Adhere and enforce health and safety rules for a shoot
  • Work with the edit team to help develop videos in post-production
  • Follow a creative brief to produce video content
  • Train, learn, develop and understanding of edit and compositing software’s
  • Generate animations and graphics for edits
  • Edit imagery and still photography
  • Attend all apprenticeship training and make sure you are on track to complete your apprenticeship
  • Manage and produce small creative projects when assigned

Skills Required

  • Someone with a basic understanding of video and still cameras with a short portfolioto to show off what they have done
  • Someone with a basic understanding of an edit program, e.g. Premier Pro, FinalCut, Sony Vegas
  • Attention to detail
  • Proactive and positive with a can-do attitude
  • Computer-literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Effective communication skills
  • Someone with an understanding of after effects would be highly advantageous

Qualifications Required

Applicants should be literate and numerate. Grade C/4 and above in English, Maths and IT (or the equivalent) are preferable.
