Job Description

Your role in this apprenticeship will be to support the technical support team, from our primary base in Woodingdean Business Park, Brighton with 1st/2nd line IT support and administration. Working alongside a diverse, collaborative team you will work towards your level 3 qualification in information communication technology.


What will the apprentice be doing?

Throughout your apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to get stuck into various aspects the job to fully immerse yourself in what it means to be an Infrastructure Technician Apprentice. Duties include:

  • Answering calls and logging tickets
  • Managing low level tickets such as Full hard-drives, reboots required
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues using basic tools such as command prompt and PowerShell to maintain the safety of the companies networking infrastructure.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Over 18 months, you’ll devote 20% of your 37.5 hours of working time towards a Level 3 Information communication Technician apprenticeship. You’ll be trained by an expert tutor from Tiro as well as an experienced mentor at Carden IT, who together, will make sure you develop the knowledge, skills, and work habits you’ll need to succeed in your career.
