Job Description

Great opportunity to work as part of a dynamic IT team in a local school. What will the apprentice be doing?

Holyport College are looking for a keen and enthusiastic individual who would like to begin an exciting career in IT.

A great environment for an individual to grow their knowledge and experience through a very hands-on approach. Full mentoring along with access to industry grade training will be provided.

Tasks as a First Line/Second Line Support

  • Software support - operating systems, password resets 
  • Hardware support - Printers, Copiers, PC's, Laptops, Chrome books amongst others
  • General maintenance - Projectors, Device trolleys
  • Liaise with external support providers
  • Setup equipment for functions as required

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship Level 3
  • Functional skills level 2 in English and maths, if required

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Once the Apprenticeship is complete, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be fully integrated into the organisation and help it to continue growing.

Reality Check

Occasional out of hours work may be required. Willingness to stay for the long term after the apprenticeship. Additional access to Industry technical courses will be provided by the school. Along with guidance on what the school would like them to study. An Enhanced DBS check will be carried out, as this is an educational establishment.
