Job Description

PETA Training are proud to be working with Interpro Technology Solutions Ltd, looking to source an exceptional IT Support Engineer Apprentice. You will be part of a dedicated and highly experienced team. Occasionally you may have visits to clients in the local area including Portsmouth, Southampton and the surrounding areas. This is a very direct role and a fantastic opportunity for someone to be part of the business long term. 

Your duties will include:

  • Answering telephone support calls and providing remote support
  • Providing both remote and onsite support to Microsoft Windows users
  • Supporting servers and networks to a 1st line support level
  • Occasional visits to client sites assisting with the installation of hardware and projects
  • Problem management and escalation to 1st and 2nd line support

Skills Required

  • Basic knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suites from 2013 up to 2019 and Office 365
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Desktop O/S from Windows 7 to Windows 10
  • Good knowledge of PC hardware and components
  • Basic understanding of networking technologies, services and protocols
  • Network troubleshooting abilities
  • Hardware and Software installation and troubleshooting

Qualities Required

  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Be able to gain basic level security clearance

Qualifications Required

  • English and maths GCSE’s grade A*-C (9-4)

Training Provided

Infrastructure Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • Most of your training will be completed in the workplace, however, throughout the duration of the apprenticeship you will be required to attend classroom-based sessions for off the job training
  • You will have regular reviews with your PETA Learning and Development Coach who will be able to offer help and advice to ensure the successful completion of your qualification
