Job Description

Our IT Support apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to gain knowledge, experience and a qualification whilst getting paid. You will be supporting the firm by providing hands-on technology related support to all local users and get hand's on experience at one of the worlds strongest international law firm.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Supporting with PC-based and telecommunications issues.
  • Acting as a point of contact for IT support queries.
  • Maintaining records of support requests and ensuring requests are responded to suitably.
  • Speaking to other members of the Technology department to help resolve issues that cannot be resolved locally Providing support for hardware within the office including PCs, laptops and printers.
  • Assisting with the development of best practices and procedures and sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Supporting with the roll out of technology projects.
  • Keeping an accurate and up to date log of hardware including PCs, laptops and printers.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As an Information Communication Technician with BPP, you will complete the Information Communication Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will achieve the CompTIA A+ certification.

This programme is delivered through a combination of online teaching, coaching and workplace development, in addition to a range of other sessions to ensure that you progress as a well-rounded Information Communication Technician.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

This is just the start, upon successful completion of your Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship you will be considered to complete the Level 6 Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Degree Apprenticeship to become a specialist in a choice of areas including software, cyber security, data analysis and cloud infrastructure.
