Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To undertake a development programme leading to a National Vocational Qualification as part of an apprenticeship (or equivalent)
  • As directed, undertake a work programme in the IT Support department to develop practical skills and knowledge of technical support duties, including (but not limited to):
  • Deal with day-to-day staff IT problems; log issues and communicate with staff about progress
  • Assist the IT Manager in operating the IT resources of the business in the short and medium-term to ensure they are used efficiently and effectively
  • Assist the IT Manager in keeping an inventory of company IT and other resources
  • To actively participate in their own development plan which will be agreed upon with the Line Manager and the assessor from the training provider
  • To take part in meetings, supervision, training as requested by the Line Manager
  • Provide 1st Line Support to the SPL business

  • Enthusiasm for Microsoft Office programmes
  • Willingness to learn about Microsoft Core business applications and desktop machine operating systems

Qualifications Required

GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent

Training Provided

You will receive a Level 3 qualification in ICT Support over a 16-month period
