Job Description

You will be given provisional IT support and systems training within Ministry of Sound Group Businesses and will give first line support (network connectivity over Wi-Fi and ethernet and print) to our client customers at The Ministry, our co-working business.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities: 

  • Provide 1st line support to all staff members and clients across the businesses – liaising with senior IT staff as needed
  • Technical training and inductions to staff members and client customers
  • Management/support of cloud-based systems including Microsoft 365 and Azure AD for users within business
  • Support staff and client customers with the use of AV equipment, print services and networking
  • Maintenance of systems to ensure ICT consistency and reliability throughout the business
  • Incident management and fulfilment of customer service requests
  • Support and maintenance of EPOS systems during office working hours
  • Lifecycle management of user accounts; provisioning, change requests, decommissioning & Archival
  • Monitoring and supervision of backup and restore systems
  • Configuration and deployment of hardware – Laptops, mobile devices, desktops
  • Continually look to improve IT services and keep up to date with development in technology

Skills Required

  • Basic Windows 10 and macOS, iOS and Android administration and support skills
  • Keen interest in IT problem solving and cloud concepts
  • Self-organised, able to prioritise work and resolve issues to completion
  • Customer-service orientated, able to communicate IT concepts with non-technical people

Qualities Required

  • If you have basic administration experience with On Premises & Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365 online services including Microsoft Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint. Maintenance and support of meeting room AV/VC systems, it’ll be highly beneficial

Qualifications Required

Entry requirements: 

  • You need to have 5 GCSEs grade A*-C/9-4 or equivalent including maths and English

You must not already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same level, or higher level than this apprenticeship. 

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

  • Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship Standard
  • Functional Skills in maths and English if required

Approximately 11% of training takes place in the QA learning centre classroom. 9% is done in the workplace, through online training, face-to-face meetings with your QA Technical Skills Coach, or developing your portfolio. The remaining time will be spent on your workplace activity.
