Macnamara ICT are an IT systems and support company, delivering real value to clients through the selection and implementation of cloud services, mobile computing, security and compliance. They are now looking for an IT Support apprentice to join their team!


The candidate will be training towards working on the Service Desk as a level 1 Support operative carrying out all the basic requirements of creating and managing tickets in the service desk queue.

As a Service Desk Analyst you will be responsible for interpreting the inbound support requests appropriately and defining them, owning the ticket through to completion. You will develop the basic skills required for Level 1 Service Desk support including but not limited to:

  • User account management
  • PC maintenance and setup
  • Networking basics
  • Record keeping and documentation
  • Office 365 administration
  • Basic SharePoint and Exchange Online

The candidate will be exposed to the MSP tools used to manage a wide variety of client customer networks with primarily Windows environments, but will also be exposed to Mac and Linux.

The role necessarily requires a high degree of accuracy for documentation and administration. Macnamara ICT are an IT partner for their clients as opposed to a break-fix service desk. They will therefore require a high degree of accuracy and an interest in precision across the board, with a view to maintaining the good running of customer networks and services.

The candidate will have the opportunity to develop significant technical skills alongside administration of projects and tickets.

Qualifications Required

You’ll need to pass a face to face screening interview with our Talent Team (don’t worry, we’re a friendly bunch) and sit initial assessments in maths and English.
