What you'll do:

The Service Desk Apprentice will provide IT support to our external and internal customers seeking technical assistance via phone, email or in person.

This will include:

  • Installing
  • Maintaining
  • Testing and repairing various systems and networks

Within this role, you'll provide excellent customer service to end users ensuring that incidents, requests and problems are resolved in an efficient and professional manor, always ensuring that customers are updated on ticket progress and are left satisfied, in line with service level agreements.

You will have the opportunity to expand your technical skills by supporting some challenging and interesting products and technologies, as well as completing a Level 3 IT apprenticeship.

Location: Based at our Thatcham office, with potential hybrid working flexibility

Salary: £14,000 per annum.

What we are looking for:

Skills and experience:

  • An interest in developing a career in IT
  • Ideally some basic IT knowledge, which may include using: technologies such as Windows operating systems and office 365
  • Great customer service skills
  • Whilst the above provides an idea of the type of person we're looking for, we have exceptional training and development capabilities here at Cybit. So even if you don't meet every requirement, we'd still love to hear from you.

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
