Job Description

The Analyst will work within the IS (Information Systems) team providing support to the end user environment whilst also driving improvements to the user facing services we offer. As the service desk analysts are the first point of contact in the team, it is imperative that the support provided, and general customer service are both excellent.


Primary responsibilities:

  • Work within defined processes in a Service Desk style support role
  • Triage incidents and requests in-line with processes
  • Desktop application support of the Microsoft suite, Finance and other applications as required
  • Operating system support including Windows desktop, Windows Server and Linux
  • Hardware installation and support across many technologies
  • Office network support including configuration and wiring


  • Support the IT Team with any ad-hoc activities.
  • Responding to internal ticket requests.
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Print service support covering all aspects of printing
  • Desktop telephone system support
  • Support of mobile devices including tablets and smartphones
  • General IT related requests
  • Responding to internal ticket requests.

Once more advanced into the role, you'll cover:

  • Take ownership of more advanced projects
  • Carry out server support
  • On-call support
  • Support of Metatrader platforms

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.

Qualifications Required

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A-C / 9-4 in any subject


  • GCSE maths and English (or equivalents) at grades D or above

Training Provided

  • Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Standard
  • Functional Skills in maths and English if required

Approximately 11% of training takes place in the QA learning centre classroom. 9% is done in the workplace, through online training, face-to-face meetings with your QA Technical Skills Coach, or developing your portfolio. The remaining time will be spent on your workplace activity.
