Job Description

To support the business by providing first line support on IT operations and functions. To demonstrate a practical commitment to the strategy and aims of European Flavours & Fragrances Plc.


The primary objective of the role is to support the business by providing first line support on IT operations and functions. This may involve physical setup of IT equipment, troubleshooting problems, providing help and support on Microsoft tools, equipment management and preparing reports on IT activities and support calls.

  • First point of contact for any IT issues
  • Interface between users and our support partners
  • Keep track of IT equipment and update Asset Register
  • Support staff with email problems and efficiency aides
  • Ensuring Sophos and Firewall are working correctly
  • Setup of laptops for training
  • Moving IT equipment around site as necessary
  • Delivery of printer consumables and installation
  • General support for Microsoft products and Window questions
  • Preparation of monthly stats and KPIs
  • Resetting passwords
  • Maintain Active Directory information
  • Troubleshooting and resolution of IT issues
  • Awareness of and compliance with related regulatory and legal requirements, ie. GDPR
  • Observing all health and safety requirements and reporting near misses or non-confirmation to Line or Health and Safety Manager 
  • Proactive in achieving continuous improvement within the IT function
  • Undertake training consistent with developing skills relevant to those duties and responsibilities of the role
  • Be vigilant in matters relating to health and safety within areas of responsibility and on site

Future Prospects

This apprenticeship will lead to a full time position and the opportunity to progress on to a higher level apprenticeship.

Qualifications Required

  • A good standard of education
  • GCSE or equivalent in IT or related field
