Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an IT manager of 15 years! You will gain first-hand skills and knowledge to accelerate a long and exciting career in IT.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Provide 1st line support to their user base via phone, email, helpdesk etc.
  • Work with the Trusts case management service, creating, working on, resolving and referring cases as appropriate
  • Provide remote support to users as required to investigate and resolve issues
  • Provide user support as required, and provide assistance with all ICT equipment in a classroom and office environment
  • To check on arrival, install and test software and hardware within capability of skills and experience
  • To assist by administering repairs and maintenance of all computer equipment, liaising with contractors and ensuring timely return of equipment in compliance with maintenance agreements
  • To be familiar with the network infrastructure in the schools for basic troubleshooting purposes.

With this Level 3 IT apprenticeship, you'll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software and optimising performance.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. If successful in your apprenticeship, you could progress onto a level 4 apprenticeship or secure a full-time role.

Reality Check

Access to own vehicle and driving licence is required as you will be working on-site across the Trusts sites.
