Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Working as part of the IT dept to assist 1st line support calls for all staff to ensure that they can perform their duties on computer systems
  • Restoring, maintaining and handling PC's and their components
  • Supporting Inhouse IT faults and also with clients
  • Working on different servers, networks, routers and so much more 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

With this Level 3 IT apprenticeship, you'll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software and optimising performance.

Our expert-led programme goes beyond the requirements of the apprenticeship qualification. We offer extra training in networking and Linux to boost your knowledge and accelerate your skills.

With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you'll get the experience, qualifications, and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You will achieve a L3 qualification in Information Communications Technician upon completion of the apprenticeship.

COURSE 1: IT ESSENTIALS (PARTS 1 & 2)
This course develops critical thinking skills to resolve IT problems. We cover the essential activities for junior IT Support Technicians, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

COURSE 2: MICROSOFT MOBILITY & DEVICES FUNDAMENTALS
This hands-on course builds experience with Windows devices and Windows-based networking, including device configurations, data access and management, device security, cloud services and enterprise mobility.

COURSE 3: MICROSOFT AZURE FUNDAMENTALS
Cloud services are now an essential element of IT. This course provides a practical foundation in cloud services and Microsoft’s Azure platform. Our hands-on labs include networking, storage, application support and application development.

COURSE 4: MICROSOFT SERVER FUNDAMENTALS
This course teaches fundamental knowledge of Windows Server Administration, including Active Directory, account management, server installation, storage and performance management.

This course includes an exam voucher to achieve an extra industry-recognised Microsoft MTA certification. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Progression onto the Level 4 programme upon completion of the apprenticeship.
