Job Description

We can offer you the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of IT hardware and software work. Guidance on carrying out the post of IT Apprentice to the best of your ability. Line manager who is committed to supporting our staff. Friendly and supportive working environment.


What will the apprentice be doing?

Resolve problems associated with operating systems, networks, software, hardware, printers etc
around school. Provide first-line support for staff throughout the school.
Provide remote technical support to understand and troubleshoot issues via telephone, email and face to face. Installation of new software and hardware on client systems. Maintain and fix computing equipment. Assist in system upgrades and system maintenance. 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful candidates will work alongside experienced staff to gain knowledge and skills related to this role whilst completing a Level 3 IT Solutions Technician Apprenticeship.


What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Potential progression into various roles, post apprenticeship.
