Job Description

This exciting opportunity is for an Apprentice within the Enterprise IT function based at the Havant facility. The Enterprise IT function provides UK and International support to our internal customers in the functional teams and business areas within the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.


What will the apprentice be doing?

The role will involve rotations which will encompass the full spectrum of IT support disciplines to provide a solid understanding of how corporate IT functions operate, and build a foundation to build a career within IT.  The two main rotations will be within the Global Service Desk and the UK Desktop Support teams, with stretch assignments in Infrastructure and Application Development.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

This level 3 apprenticeship training programme develops focused, high achieving and knowledgeable IT professionals ready to provide support to your organisation. Over the duration of 15 months, you will receive a combination of face-to-face and online training and support. The Apprentice will achieve the Level 3 Information communications technician apprenticeship. The Training provider location will be Impact Futures.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Lockheed Martin UK has a number of development opportunities open to Apprentices, including the opportunity to progress with a higher level apprenticeship.
