We are currently recruiting for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our hugely successful international Air Logistics Service Excellence team in Heathrow as an Improvement Practitioner Apprentice. What will the apprentice be doing?

We are currently recruiting for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our hugely successful international Air Logistics Service Excellence team in Heathrow as an Improvement Practitioner Apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the world’s leading logistics and freight forwarding companies and will help you to gain an insight into the industry and help you to forge a career in logistics.

YOUR ROLE.

The Service Excellence Team are a team that ensures we provide a consist excellent customer service across the physical operations element of Air Logistics. Our Apprenticeship is a 2 year programme, combining practical on-the-job training with study towards the Level 4 Improvement Practitioner apprenticeship. You will work within a successful team while learning everything you need to know whilst supported by your peers, your managers, and the apprenticeship team within Kuehne+Nagel.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES.

You will be learning on the job to be able to do the following tasks:

  • Process re-engineering / optimisation
  • Lean methodology / value stream mapping
  • Project management
  • Monitoring of all urgent high profiles shipments
  • Issue management and resolution
  • Continuous Innovation creation and implementation
  • Visualisation of performance metrics

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Level 4 Improvement Practitioner apprenticeship
  • Functional Skills maths and English (if required)

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There is a very high possibility to be able to develop a career within the company with unlimited progression
