Job Description

The job overall is going to be helping our customers use our Interprise Software. We deal with calls about Sales Order Processing, Purchase Order Processing, Stock Control, WMS, Project Costing, API queries with orders being imported from websites to our software (but we do not deal directly with any website coding etc.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Answering calls & logging the cases/queries for support
  • Possibly logging incoming support emails as cases/queries for support
  • Installing the software on customers pc’s (they will be shown how to do this & with help from the support team)

They will then advance to:

  • Taking the support call & trying to deal with it
  • If they cannot deal with it, pass to 2nd line suppor

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Information Communications Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

Your training takes place away from your usual location of work and in one of NowSkills' city centre training venues. If this isn't convenient to you then NowSkills also provide live online, on-demand online and 1:1 with your subject specialist digital tutor that you will have assigned to you.


Upon successful completion you will receive certification of your Level 3 ICT standard.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The successful candidate may be offered full time employment and the chance to progress to a higher level apprenticeship or position in the organisation.
