Job Description

With over 6,500 employees across the Severn Trent organisation our Human Resources function helps support the whole employee lifecycle covering; resourcing, learning & development, pay & reward and employee operations.


What will the apprentice be doing?

As an apprentice HR Consultant you’ll be exposed to a wide range of opportunities through tailored placements across the following functions to help you develop your HR generalist experience:

HR Operations & Reward, Resourcing & New Talent, The Academy, HR Business Partnering & Change as well as Internal and External Communications.

You'll be supporting colleagues to help create a fair and equitable working environment where everyone can succeed.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You’ll combine on-the-job learning with formal, nationally recognised development training gain a level 5 Foundation Degree HR Consultant Partner qualification. To help you drive and own your career progression, you’ll be supported by your Line Manager and/or Mentor to create your own personal development plan, which will be reviewed on a regular basis.For more information please read the apprenticeship standard -

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Various options will be available for career progression, once the apprenticeship has been completed. These include -
