What will the apprentice be doing?
Support recruitment administration activities, including requisition approval processes, advertising of positions, and booking in candidates
New starter/onboarding administrative support
Leaver administrative support, including the issuing of p45s
Updating documents & procedures both internally and on intranet
Support payroll administration procedures
Maintaining HR systems and files & undertake general HR admin
Support head office reception including switchboard and welcoming site visitors
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
On the job training (office based, learning our systems/processes). We are underpinning this opportunity with an 'HR Support' standard (level 3) which will be undertaken via a blended learning approach to possibly include college day-release. Acheivement of the programme will result in awarding of a diploma in HR Support and functional skills if required. The apprentice will also be eligible to apply for student membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD)
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Our intention, all being well is to also award a formal contract of permanent employment to the apprentice upon successful completion of the contract. Longer term, there could be scope to progress into any number of roles within our business (subject to further training) as most years we have openings across various functions including: Finance, IT, marketing, sales, national accounts, procurment & logistics.
