Job Description

Central Bedfordshire Council's Early Careers Development Programme. The apprenticeship and job role involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. The responsibilities of the role are to support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers.


What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Assisting customers with the application process, for example contacting customers unable to complete an application form and helping them to complete this over the phone
  • Assisting the team with monitoring the Housing Demand email inbox, responding to and providing basic housing advice (with support)
  • Assisting customers with the ‘bidding’ process and helping customers to find suitable accommodation
  • Undertaking reports to ensure the Housing Register is kept up to date 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will study for a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship, while gaining invaluable work experience and earning a wage. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

At the end of the apprenticeship, we will support you to apply for vacant positions within the Council. Our career pathway is designed to create opportunities for growth and development for everyone who joins us as an apprentice.
