Are you looking to begin your career in Housing and Property? Berkshire Living, in line with their growth and expansion, are recruiting a Housing and Property Apprentice to join their team.

Responsibilities

History:

​Berkshire Living are positioned as market leading within the UK private property investment industry. This has resulted in the companies being well placed to operate and generate sales and growth opportunities.

Berkshire Living – HMO management company operating within Berkshire, providing corporate clients all inclusive professional house shares. Also offer landlords guaranteed rent solutions that mitigate any risk associated with Covid by matching up long term Government contracts to their houses.

This exciting role brings about variety in the day to day activities whilst also allowing for the applicant to manage and gain experience in both arms of the business

Role Purpose:

  • The company needs to ensure full occupancy of it’s portfolio and thus requires generation of leads for tenants that need to be followed up
  • Populate lead converter and to ‘own’ this to ensure effective maintenance and update of this
  • Secure new tenants including referencing and contracts signing, this is from the point they have expressed desire for the room
  • Complete new tenant check-ins and outgoing tenant check-outs
  • Instruct monthly inspections on all the houses utilising our custom built app co-ordinating with maintenance team
  • Manage any maintenance and cleaning issues, ensuring keep on top of any outstanding elements
  • Contact prospective tenants through online platforms
  • Create own marketing plan to target HR departments of all local multinational companies

We have a great opportunity to work as a Property Portfolio Assistant in a modern lettings company focused solely on the professional room let market. You will be responsible for the day to day quality management of our houses where organisation and customer relations are key.

We are looking for someone who is looking to step up and be challenged. The person will need the desire to progress and wants to join an energetic and thriving environment. Please note your views on improving the business will be taken on board, therefore this role would suit someone who is keen to take on responsibility and making real decisions to change.

You will be trained directly from the directors themselves that have many years experience between them. We are proud and love the work we do and we are keen to hear from you

What the role involves:

  • Delivering quality communication to our professional tenants
  • Ensuring an excellent standard of customer service is provided and upheld
  • Handling maintenance requests and liaising with necessary team members
  • Prioritising maintenance works and keeping tabs on maintenance teams’ progress
  • Ensuring property documents are up to date in line with excellent property management
  • Assisting in the setup of new properties
  • Conducting viewings and monthly inspections
  • Handling the tenant check-in / check-out
  • Ensuring tenant details are up to date
  • Basic financial tracking
  • General admin
  • Drawing up weekly reports of tasks and activities
  • Creating marketing campaigns to target large multinational companies to increase exposure

Qualifications Required

  • A*-C (9-4) in GCSE English and maths or equivalent 

Training Provided

  • The successful candidate will complete and obtain a Level 3 Housing and Property Management Apprenticeship Standard qualification
