Job Description

We are an owner operated pub company, focusing on regenerating unloved local pubs with great hospitality and seasonal British cuisine. Our owners, chefs & managers are all seasoned hospitality professionals. Our front of house staff deliver a relaxed, ordered service with strong food & beverage knowledge to customers.

Responsibilities








Hours per week will vary between 30 and 40 hours






Our employer brand is that we are owner
operated, focus on traditional hospitality without unnecessary frills. Our
food & beverage menus are centred on seasonal British produce. Our sites
are pubs, with dining rooms. We prioritise excellent customer service to
match great cooking. All our service is table service and our order of
service is very well organised to prioritise the right level of customer
interaction. Our company ethos is honesty in everything we do, communicating
clearly & openly with our colleagues & customers.

Our employees are trained to understand
all dishes & ingredients on our menus. We encourage all staff to grow
within the company to understand as much of our operation as possible to
better know how everyone fits into the organisation and other stakeholders
such as suppliers, customers, local community.




The duties of this position:

Setting up the restaurant for service
Greeting customers,
taking orders and serving food and drink
Ensure the efficient flow of service and standards are
constantly met
Communication skills to engage with
colleagues and customers
Use and develop food & beverage knowledge to enhance guest
experience
Menu tasting to understand cooking techniques, ingredients and
kitchen processes
Maintain calm and organised service during busy periods
Organise duties to reflect changing levels of
business
Exposure to full operation, not just service

Apprentice salary £8.91 per hour and rising with development
40hrs per week
1:1 training & development with senior mentor

Future Prospects

Full time kitchen or front of house team member positions available depending on business needs upon completion. Our company is slowly growing, adding on average one new pub per year for the next 5 years. We have a focused workforce development plan in order for our employees to grow as the company grows. We would also encourage & support staff to progress to level 3 apprenticeships. A proactive mentoring system between junior and senior colleagues.

Training Provided







Kitchen
and front of house staff will be exposed to the same daily, weekly duties as
full time employees including full food & beverage training, service
standards, intangible hospitality skills and can expect to receive the same
level of formal training as our full time staff; Health & Safety, food
allergens, COSSH, HACCP, fire marshall, first aid, wine pouring confidence, cellar
management, barista and many more from our training module provider. For
kitchen staff they will have the opportunity to learn beyond the curriculum
by shadowing senior chefs, visiting suppliers, menu tastings, input into
weekly specials, costing dishes, stock takes.
