What will the apprentice be doing?
Tasks would include (but not limited to):
- Plant husbandary
- Garden maintainance, pruning, weeding, leaf-blowing etc
- Grass cutting
- Liasing with wider Estate team and communicating with restaurant guests about the kitchen garden
- Nature conservation
- Plant identification and nomenclature (Latin & common names)
- Machinery maintainance
This is an outdoor role and would suit a hard-working, reliable and enthusiastic individual.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will receive a Pershore College RHS Level 2
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
We like to support and mentor our staff so that they can grow their careers within the team. If all goes well, this has the potential to become a permanent role.
Reality CheckWillingness to work outside in all weathers. Prior experience in gardening/ horticulture preferable but enthusiasm more important. Physically fit.
