Established in 2016 by Stephen Ruddock, our Sawbridgeworth salon quickly became one of the leading hairdressers in Hertfordshire and Essex. Stephen’s dream was to find a team who were as passionate about hairdressing as he was. When he couldn’t find the right salon to work for, he decided to come home and establish his own.


The successful candidate will be required to :

  • General salon duties
  • Assist stylists
  • Meet and greet clients
  • Shampoo and condition hair
  • Keep salon tidy
  • Make teas and coffees for clients
  • Attend training sessions within the salon to learn basic skills in hairdressing 

Future Prospects

Complete Hairdressing Apprenticeship at Level 2 and progress to junior stylist within salon. Possible opportunity to further own skills by completing Hairdressing Level 3.

This vacancy requires physical work and you may be required to work on Saturdays as part of your working week. Training sessions in salon on models and day release to Avant Garde for your college training. Qualifications Required

GCSE or equivalent A*-C (9-4) grade in English and maths desirable but not essential.

Training Provided

  • Hair Professional level 2

Training will take place on a day release basis with Avant Garde. Alongside college training, you will take part in practical hairdressing sessions within the salon.
