Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual looking to receive training through the Outstanding Saks Apprenticeships to complete a Hairdressing Advanced Apprenticeship in Creme de la Creme, a stylish contemporary salon located in Widnes, Cheshire.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

Advanced Apprentice required to work in a busy salon. This position will gain you valuable industry experience while you also receive Level 3 training from Saks Apprenticeships.

Daily duties will include:

  • Assisting with the daily running of the salon such as meeting and greeting clients, reception duties
  • Carrying out skills and techniques gained in Level 2 qualification 
  • Assisting qualified stylists in creative cuts/colours to gain skills as a Level 3 Hairdressing Apprentice

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Training towards an Advanced and creative hair professional, Level 3 qualification to be provided on a continuous basis by Saks Apprenticeships and your home salon team at your home salon and in some cases at one of our amazing academies.

You will advance your technical skills and knowledge in consultation, creative cut and colour, corrective colour and artistic hairdressing design skills including styling, dressing and finishing techniques.

The programme is ideal if you want to enhance your technical skills and take on more responsibility at work.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

After you have completed your Level 3 Diploma in Advanced and Creative Hairdressing you will have reached the pinnacle of hairdressing apprenticeships and are able to become a State Registered Hairdresser (SRH) with The Hairdressing Council. However, there are still more skills you can learn to help you develop within the Hair and Beauty industry.

You will be able to develop your skills further by advancing onto one of our other apprenticeships each of which will allow you to increase your knowledge add to your skill set and become ever more valuable to your salon.

Reality Check

Once you have successfully completed the program you will be submitted for your End Point Assessment. The EPA is an assessment of all the knowledge, skills and behaviours you have learned throughout your apprenticeship, it confirms you are ready and competent in the career path you have chosen. These assessments have been designed and developed by employers in the hairdressing industry to reflect the daily work of a hairdresser. This makes them very sought after by employers across the industry.
