Hislop & Co Horticulture Ltd are looking for a Grounds Maintenance apprentice to work alongside their experienced and knowledgeable garden and grounds maintenance teams servicing long established commercial and residential clients grounds and gardens across the home counties and North London.
Working alongside a Team Leader and their Assistant, the apprentices' duties will include:
- Cutting grass
- Edging and Maintaining beds
- Pruning and maintaining plant health
- Leaf blowing
- Hedge trimming
Hislop & Co invest heavily in their staff with ongoing training and development plans and career progression is a very real prospect our candidates.
Previous apprentices on this scheme have progressed into roles such as Assistant and Team Leader.
You will be required to attend Shuttleworth College one day per week to study for your qualification in Horticulture.
The work will require working in all weathers with early starts.
Candidates must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check.

To be considered for this role you will need GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 9-3 (A*-D) including maths and English.
Level 2 Apprenticeship in either Horticulture or Landscape Operative. Plus: Emegency First Aid at Work, Level 2 Safe use of handling and application of pesticides, Functional Skills in English & maths (if required).
