Job Description

We are an award winning heating services company based in South London. We are looking for a local Plumbing / Gas Heating apprentice to join our team and support our experienced engineers with domestic gas boiler installations, replacements, central heating upgrades, conversions and other associated domestic gas heating works.


What will the apprentice be doing?

You will be able to assist our engineers with high quality central heating system installations & boiler replacements, being part of a team delivering top quality work and excellent customer service.  You will gain valuable experience in domestic gas central heating installations & boiler replacements as part of an installation onsite crew.       

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

* Current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and regulations applicable to work in the gas industry
* Safe gas and electrical installation, 
* Up to date energy efficiency advice and guidance to be given to the customer
* Product knowledge to be able to discuss and advise the customer
* Use and maintain tools, equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) in a safe and appropriate manner
* Work effectively and efficiently with people from different trades
* Be able to read and follow technical documentation associated with equipment and installation requirements
* Demonstrate an awareness of how the work impacts on others in the work environment
* Recognise personal and professional limitations

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Registration with Gas Safe® Register for four appliances In achieving a pass or a distinction in this apprenticeship, the successful apprentice will be eligible to apply for membership with the Institution of Gas Engineers & Managers (IGEM) professional registration as an Engineering Technician (EngTech)
