Job Description

The future leaders apprenticeship academy will support your development into a management career within Hospitality. Starting in a supervisor position you will support the running of either a food & beverage/front office/housekeeping or conference & events department.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties to include: • Support colleagues in roles to improve performance by working on and implementing strategies within the culture of the organisation • Identify HR systems that can manage performance management techniques including goal and objective setting and appraisals • Review performance of colleagues and provide feedback • Work on and implement communication strategies • Liaise with governance and compliance teams to understand legislation and budget constraints

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor apprenticeship standard Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required) This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release.  The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

All those who complete the Future Leaders apprenticeship Academy will be supported in their career development within Hilton with the hope that this will lead to senior leadership roles within the business dependant on success within the programme.

The future leaders academy will support your development into a management career within Hospitality. This 18 month Apprenticeship program is nationally recognised, and is both practical and interactive, aimed at developing talented and passionate people who will become inspirational leaders in Hilton. Starting in a supervisor position you will support the running of either a food & beverage/front office/housekeeping or conference & events department. This program is run in partnerships with Burton and South Derbyshire College. This position will require you to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Please Note: Some roles may require applicants to be 18+ for alcohol sales.
