Job Description

If you’re interested in a career in Food Technology then a Level 3 Apprenticeship with Nestlé could be the start you’re looking for. It’s designed to give you the skills you need to develop a spectacular career here at the biggest food and beverage company in the world.

At Nestlé, you can become the professional you want to be. That’s because we encourage all our team members to be themselves when they work for us. It takes a range of personalities all working together to make us the company we are. So whatever your background, you’ll never feel that you have to hold back—we want you for who you are!

Join us here in Wisbech (Cambridgeshire) where, over 24 months, our experts will ease you into a career with a lifetime’s worth of progression opportunities.

What the Food Technologist Level 3 Apprenticeship entails

Like all apprenticeships, it’ll involve mixing on-the-job training with block release dedicated to study. And although you’ll be training, you’ll be expected to contribute to live projects that move the business forward. You’ll have our experts to support you every step of the way while you find your feet, but the work you do will have a real impact.

The role sits within the Quality function and although you’ll focus on delivering enhancements to our quality systems in the factory, you’ll rotate through various roles within the department so that you gain an all-round understanding of what we do and where you fit into it all.

37.5 is the average number of hours per week, hours are dependent upon business needs.

Who is eligible for the Food Technologist Level 3 Apprenticeship?

You might be a school-leaver looking to get straight into a career or perhaps you’ll have spent a few years working and are looking for something more fulfilling. Where you’re up to in your career journey isn’t as important as your desire to put everything you’ve got into learning as much as you can during your time with us. To qualify, however, you’ll need GSCEs (level 9-4 or A*-C if received in 2017 or earlier) in Maths, English Language and Science.

What will I get out of a Nestlé Apprenticeship?

You’ll lay the foundation for a career at a company where the potential rewards are limitless. All you need is ambition and the skills you’ll learn on the programme. And, of course, there’s working with world famous brands like Winalot, Felix and Gourmet—experience that you can’t get anywhere else and that will establish you as a Food Technologist of real standing right from the off.

You can feel great about choosing Nestlé not only because we can offer you a career with truly inspiring possibilities but also because working with us lets you make a positive difference in the wider world. That’s what our ‘Force for Good’ initiative is all about. It’s how we create shared value (CSV) by ensuring our commercial objectives are tied to important social responsibilities like healthier eating and helping the environment. It makes this your chance to develop a career that really matters.
