Job Description

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

This isn’t university. For starters, you’ll be learning in the real-world of work as well as in the classroom. Developing some big career skills from the world’s largest food and drink manufacturer! You’re going to be working hard, so you deserve to be rewarded for it.

Duties may include but wouldn't be limited to developing skills in mechanical fitting, turning, welding, isolation, problem solving, planned maintenance, root cause analysis and coaching others.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Our programme lasts four years and mixes block release college studies with real on the job work experience in a range of different electrical and mechanical engineering technologies, to provide extensive learning and application opportunities. You will study the Level 3 Food & Drink Engineering Maintenance Apprenticeship standard alongside other Nestlé Engineering Apprentices from around the UK, on block release at North West Training Council in Liverpool.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

We are looking to set you up for an exciting and varied career at Nestlé with extensive opportunities to continue your learning and development following completion of your Apprenticeship. Our previous apprentices have gone from Technician roles to become Engineering Specialists, Maintenance Managers, Project Engineers and Engineering Managers looking after teams of people and multi-million pound budgets.
