Job Description

Ark Ventures is looking for an engaging and passionate individual to join our collaborative team as a Finance Officer Apprentice. You will play a key role in supporting our Finance Team and gain experience as our educational and societal ventures progress from incubation through to launch and scale.

Responsibilities

Duties to include:

  • Prepare sales invoices and manage accounts receivable
  • Prepare supplier payments and manage accounts payable, including contacting suppliers
  • Manage bank reconciliations and maintaining financial records
  • Monitor and respond to email correspondence
  • Support the Ark Ventures Finance team with all requisite areas
  • Update financial procedures to ensure they run efficiently

Future Prospects

After your Accounting apprenticeship progress into a full-time role as Junior Finance Assistant, Assistant Accountant, Bookkeeping Assistant, Junior Tax Consultant or Audit Assistant. You can also complete the ACCA qualification into Chartered Accountancy.

Qualifications Required

  • Five GCSE grades C - A* (4-9) or equivalent, including English and maths
  • B or 6 at GCSE or equivalentin maths
  • Level 3 qualification (A level, BTEC or equivalent)

Training Provided

  • Training on the 18 month Standard Level 3 Assistant Accountant (AAT3) apprenticeship
