Job Description

As one of the world's most successful hedge fund, TCI are always looking for the next generation of financial apprentices to join our close-knit team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about pursuing a career in accountancy and finance.


Primarily involved in the processing of transactional data alongside AAT training, we are looking for an apprentice that has strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude, ensuring tasks are completed.

Tasks include:

  • Learning Netsuite accounting system, for purchase ledger and sales ledger
  • Bookkeeping including bank reconciliation and matching invoices
  • Ensure all aspects of purchase ledger are completed - to include the processing of all invoices received, ensuring they are appropriately approved, and paid in a timely manner
  • Managing accounts payable inbox on a daily basis
  • Enter all company credit card expenses, ensuring the cost is posted to an appropriate expense code
  • Assisting with VAT returns for submission to HMRC and for review of senior accountant
  • Assisting in preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Filing of documentation in manual and paperless filing systems
  • Other ad hoc tasks and projects

Future Prospects

  • After completing your Accounting apprenticeship, progress into a full-time role with potential to complete further accountancy qualifications. A previous finance apprentice has progressed into a fund controller role within TCI

Qualifications Required

  • 3 A-Levels (A*-B)
  • 5 GCSE's (A*-B/9-5) including maths and English (B/6 or above) or equivalent

Training Provided

As an Accountancy Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship at Level 3. Within the apprenticeship you will undertake the AAT Level 3 qualification.

The apprenticeship will be completed at a BPP centre or via the Online Classroom platform, in addition to at the workplace.
