Job Description

To carry out the day-to-day finance tasks of the College and assist the Finance Director in her/his duties in order to provide a high-quality service. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

The main activities and responsibilities are to:

  • Process purchase orders and requisitions for the College using PRS Elementary and SAGE Line 200 software
  • Maintaining the electronic Purchase Order register using MS Excel
  • Keeping detailed records of Purchase orders received and following up on outstanding orders on a regular basis
  • Entering deliveries and invoices onto the Finance System (Sage 200) and obtaining authorisation for payment from staff, obtaining copies of invoices from suppliers
  • Ensuring all expense claims are processed using the appropriate forms i.e. Petty Cash/Travel
  • Taking payments and issuing receipts to students/staff for all visits/books/conferences etc and keeping detailed records of all monies collected from students/staff
  • Posting photocopying journal from the automated usage reports received every month for departments
  • Regularly update filing systems and ensuring all corresponding ledgers are kept up-to-date
  • Supporting and contributing to other administrative functions in the College
  • Promote equal opportunities for students and staff
  • Undertake other tasks as required by the Principal, after due consultation
